Description

Kingdom of Velkaris Foundation: October 25, 2025 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Motto: “The Isles Endure.” Government Form: Constitutional Monarchy Demonym: Velkaran Era: Semi-Future (2035) Currency: Velkaran Crowns (VK/VK$) Capital: Comet, Meteor Federal Territory National Sport: Football (European) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Velkaris is fictional but heavily based on the UK, and other European Nations and owns its modern territories, also taking inspiration on form of government and culture. It is also heavily based off Vekllei, the worldbuilding project by Hobart Phillips. Velkaris is best conceptualized as a union of islands. It is a commonwealth, and consists of many island republics that are connected by politics and prosperity, not geography or race. It is a new kind of country, without direct precedence or comparison, and spans the Atlantic, Pacific, Artic, Caribbean, Indian and Mediterranean, oceans in their entirety.
