Fun Fact: Did you know toy soldiers date back to ancient Egyptian tombs around 2500 BC? Later, in the early 1730s, tin soldiers were introduced, with William Britain eventually becoming a famous producer of the toy. While early toy soldiers didn’t have stands, later "pod feet" were designed to help army men stand. Eventually, lead soldiers were created but were discontinued in 1966 due to lead being a dangerous material. After lead, the famous plastic soldiers we know today were introduced—lead-free, safe, and made in different colors to inspire imagination. And that's the history of army men plastic troops! Have fun! -Army Men Poly Wars I
