Description
【 Gens Nerva 】 The gens Nerva was a celebrated plebeian family at ancient Rome, which appears from the earliest days of the Republic until imperial times, and which eventually obtained the imperial dignity. The first of the Nerva to hold the role of Emperor was Nerva Caesar Augustus, elected emperor in 96 BC, and from this time, the Nerva became one of the most illustrious gentes in the Empire. Gens Nerva is home to many great Politicians, war hero's, and two Roman emperors such as Hadrian, and Trajan
