𝟑𝟑𝐑𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒔 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔. The 33rd Regiment of Foot, or known as the Duke of Wellington's, was formed in 1702 as a Line Infantry regiment that fought under Colonel G. H. the 8th Earl of Huntingdon. It earned its nickname after the Battle of Waterloo, in which they performed and fought well for Arthur Wellesley to recognize them.
