Description
The 1st Royal Australian Dragoons are an armoured cavalry regiment specialising in combined-arms warfare. During the Second World War, the regiment served in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Pacific. Following the war, it was reorganised as an armoured cavalry regiment and subsequently served in Vietnam, East Timor, and the Iraq War, conducting offensive, defensive, reconnaissance, and peacekeeping operations.
