Description

The Unitary Republic of Veshuriya is a ruthlessly independent nation, caught in the midst of a civil war, and surrounded by enemies. The nation does what it can to preserve itself, and its unique people, the Okhotskiy people. The Republic is an unstable one, being split between the left and the right, the nation does what it can to appease both sides. Yet, many times this has failed. But, that does not stop the nation from existing and collapsing in on itself, being a successfully industrialized power in the Far East. The Republic has many enemies, big and small, and only the future may tell what becomes of Veshuriya and its neighbors. ----- Government: Unitary Republic with a Parliamentary system. Often-times split between ideological lines. Economic Status: Wealthy, it is very industrialized and prosperous despite the political deadlock. Time Period: 1900-1930 Language: Okhotskiy (Nivkh) and Russian. Religion: Okhotskiy-influenced Orthodoxy Capital: Goropoberez (Magadan)
