πππ π'πππππ π'ππππππ! πππππ πππππ πππ ππππππππ! πΈπ πππππ‘π π'πΌπ‘ππππ / ππππππ π π·ππ πππππππ ππππππππ; The Kingdom of Italy was formed in March of 1805 when NapolΓ©on Bonaparte declared himself the King of Italy, however, in all cases, the Kingdom only exercised control over the northern part of the Italian peninsula. In his place to run the Kingdom, he left his faithful adopted son, EugΓ¨ne Beauharnais, to rule as Viceroy. The Army of Italy under EugΓ¨ne performed exceptionally during the 1805 and 1809 campaigns and eventually took part in the Russian Campaign of 1812 as part of NapolΓ©on's 4th Corps with many faithful young men and veterans serving in its ranks during this tenure.
