Description
June 6th, 1944, while attached to Army's XII Corps, the 4th Infantry Division's 22nd Regiment assaulted Utah Beach, alongside the 8th and 12th Infantry Regiments. As a result of the invasion, the 22nd Infantry Regiment attached to 2nd Armored Division in an operation on the Cherbourg Peninsula, until eventually regrouping with the 4th Infantry Division on their march to Belgium for Operation Cobra. Following multiple movements and operations against Germany, they eventually came out on top in the war. They were deactivated the following year. This unit is primarily for Red Bear's OPERATION OVERLORD game.
