Devlet-ı 'Aliyye-i 'Osmaniyye #898014314
Description
The Ottoman Empire was founded around 1299 by Osman I in Anatolia. It expanded rapidly, capturing Constantinople in 1453 under Mehmed II. At its height, it controlled large parts of Southeast Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The empire was ruled by sultans and had a powerful military and administrative system. The Janissaries and other Ottoman forces played an important role in its expansion. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the empire faced military defeats and internal problems.
