Description
Welcome to the Sixth Ironclad Legion, or Legio VI Ferrata. In 30 B.C.E we became part of emperor Augustus's standing army. We fought in the Roman Republican civil wars of 40s and 30s B.C.E. We fought in many battles such as the Battle of Ilerda, Battle of Dyrrhachium, and the Battle of Pharsalus, where they sided with Julius Caesar in his civil war against Pompey. The legion's mascot is the bull, although they also kept the symbolic she-wolf that kept Romulus and Remus alive (shown as the groups emblem). The Legio VI Ferrata was likely disbanded or reorganized in the 4th century AD, and the last mention of us was during the reign of Emperor Philip the Arab. (241-249 AD). Enjoy your stay.
