Welcome to The Galactic Empire! The Galactic Empire was a totalitarian regime formed by Emperor Palpatine at the end of the Clone Wars, replacing the Galactic Republic around 19 BBY. Promising peace and order, it instead brought fear, oppression, and militarized rule across the galaxy. The Jedi Order was destroyed through Order 66, and the Empire relied on a massive military, including stormtroopers and Star Destroyers, to enforce its rule.
