Description
❑ 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 ❑ 공동경비구역(JSA)은 한반도 비무장지대의 군사분계선상에 있는 구역으로, 6.25 전쟁의 정전 협정이 체결되었으며 이후 유엔군과 조선인민군이 공동으로 관리하며 남북 대화 등의 상징적인 무대가 된 장소이다. 대한민국 경기도 파주시 진서면 선적리와 북한 개성시 판문구역 판문점리 접경 동서 800m, 남북 600m에 걸쳐 장방형으로 설정되어 있다. 이는 휴전 당시 유엔군과 중국 인민지원군 및 조선인민군이 회의를 원만히 하기 위하여 1953년 10월 합의, 군사정전위원회 본부 구역 군사분계선(MDL)상에 설정되었다. ❑ 대한민국 서울특별시에서 서북방으로 62㎞, 북한 평양시에서 동남남방으로 215㎞, 개성부터 동쪽 10㎞ 지점으로 동경 126° 40′ 40″(126.6768°), 북위 37° 57′ 20″(37.9560°)에 있다.
