Description
The Army Compartmented Element was formed after numerous well-publicized international incidents in the 1970s. These incidents led the U.S. government to develop a full-time CT unit. ACE is a special operations force of the United States Army, under operational control of the Joint Special Operations Command. The unit is tasked with missions primarily involving hostage rescue, direct action, and special reconnaissance, often against high-value targets. The majority of the operations assigned to ACE are classified and may never be known to the public.
