Welcome! Our goal is to spread more awareness of misophonia, with hopes for more research and support one day. If you have misophonia, don't worry, you are not alone! WHAT IS MISOPHONIA? Misophonia (Selective Sound Sensitivity) is a neurological disorder that causes irritation to specific sounds. Someone with misophonia can experience discomfort, panic, and even rage to certain sounds. Common triggers are typing, clicking, chewing, tapping, sniffing, crunching, etc. Sometimes a movement that relates to the sound can trigger it. HOW CAN YOU HELP? If someone seems to be uncomfortable to a noise you are making you can help by trying to be more quiet. You don’t have to stop what you are doing but it is helpful to try and make less noise. Please, don’t make fun or get angry at them for it! TO KNOW: Request on the group wall for a misophonia rank! No trolling or bullying All funds will be contributed towards the group (advertising and creations).
