Description
In 1845, following the United State's purchase of the territory of Brightwell from the British Empire, settlement began. New colonists with hopes of a better life arrived off the Oregon Trail and began to make peace of the frigid northern wilderness and a vast Pacific coastline. Gaining statehood in 1890, the State of Brightwell became the modern economic center of the American west coast, with its legacy of hopes, determination, and sacrifices stretching well into the 21st century.
