Description
Baden-Württemberg -------------------------- Baden-Württemberg is a province (Bundesland) of Germany, located in Southwest Germany, bordering Bavaria, France, and Switzerland. Also, abbreviated as BaWü, it has a rich history, being ancient Swabia, back as far as the medieval ages. Throughout 1400 to the 1600's, both Baden and Württemberg were independent provinces in Germania, who later both joined as parts of the German Confederacy and Empire in 1871. During and after WWII, both played a significant role in technology and many notable heads and figures trace their origins to one of two states including the Rommel's and multiple notable car manufacturers. After the Second World War, both lands agreed to merge, on the basis of a Swabian ethnic commonality, seeing themselves equals in those regards. Today it is one of the most prosperous states of the German federation. You do NOT need to be German to join, but this is intended as a Swabian community!
