Description
The Order of The Bannerets was formed after the beginning decline of Byzantium and the disbanding of the Norse Varangian guard. After the Norse Varangian Guard was disbanded, the remaining Norse Varangians fled Constantinople and Byzantium from the on coming Ottoman onslaught. These Varangians would travel all over Europe. Becoming mercenaries and guards for other dynasties or militaries. However in England, at Hadrian's Wall. A group of ex-varangian guards would settle in an abandoned Roman fortress. There these Varangians would go on to form The Order of The Bannerets, sworn to an oath to defend the peoples of England and those who cannot defend themselves. Now the Bannerets call upon the remaining ex-varangians within Europe to regroup and reform their ancient order under a new banner.
