𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲: "The Duke's Own" 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗿𝗸𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: On order, 1st Battalion, 7th Gurkha Rifles conducts rapid-reaction, long-range reconnaissance patrols (LRRP), and specialized deep-penetration jungle warfare operations in order to secure critical border sectors, disrupt enemy lines of communication, and defeat insurgent or conventional forces in austere tropical environments.
