Description
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) is a bi-state government agency that manages and oversees major transportation infrastructure in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area. Established in 1921, the Port Authority is responsible for some of the busiest and most critical transit, trade, and travel facilities in the United States. The Port Authority’s primary mission is to improve regional transportation, facilitate commerce, and foster economic growth. It manages key infrastructure that supports the movement of people, goods, and services across the region.
