Description
Long before structured government reached the frontier, Captain James Harrison journeyed inland from the Atlantic and founded Jamestown upon a vast plain bordered by rivers and distant mountains. From this settlement, communities like Kaslo, Little Bennett, and Rockdale emerged, forming what became known as Harrison County. As the region grew, so did the need for unity and order. The State of New Chesapeake was established to bring these lands under a single authority while preserving their identity and history. Today, as a member of the Commonwealth of the States, New Chesapeake stands as a balance between frontier legacy and modern governance-where the past continues to shape the future.
