Description

The Imperial Sovereign Protectors are the most elite of the Dark Honor Guard, and are the personal guard (and last line of defense) for the Emperor/Empress. There can only be six at a time, and the selection process is incredibly competitive-- a tournament. The victor of the tournament is granted the rank of Imperial Sovereign Protector, and is separate from the chain of command. ISPs are only required to take orders from the Empress/Emperor and the Wrath, but can issue orders to Guardsmen, senate Guards and Shadow Guards. Once the slots are filled, further tournaments are held to test the skills of the current ISPs and, if needed, swap them out.
