Description
UN Joint Air Support Detachment (U.S.) is a U.S. military aviation element placed under United Nations operational control in response to the large-scale biological outbreak and societal collapse in Arkansas, United States, in 1995. The detachment operates UH-1H “Huey” multi-role helicopters, providing critical air support to UN ground forces. Its missions include personnel transport, medical evacuation (MEDEVAC), reconnaissance, logistical resupply, and close air support in high-risk zones. While aircraft display UN markings during operations, all personnel and aviation assets remain U.S. military property. The unit conducts missions in accordance with UN directives while maintaining U.S. Army aviation standards and procedures. “Providing air support where order has collapsed.”
