Its work encompasses border security, customs enforcement, immigration services, emergency response and disaster management, and cybersecurity initiatives to secure critical infrastructure and federal networks. DHS is composed of numerous component agencies, such as the Coast Guard, FEMA, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), all working to keep the nation safe and prosperous. Members of the Department are expected to demonstrate vigilance, professionalism, and dedication to the security and resilience of SWUSA.
