Description
At Tyndall Air Force Base, the 95th Fighter Squadron became a familiar name within the 325th Fighter Wing, serving alongside the Checkertails and contributing to Tyndall’s fighter training and air dominance mission. Following its reactivation in 2013 for the F-22 Raptor mission, the squadron continued its long-standing association with Tyndall before transitioning into the next generation of American airpower. In 2023, the first F-35A Lightning II aircraft arrived at Tyndall, bringing the 95th Fighter Squadron back to the flight line as part of the base’s transition to a combat-coded F-35 mission. Today, the Boneheads operate the F-35A Lightning II from Tyndall Air Force Base as a combat-ready fifth-generation fighter squadron. Our group is dedicated to recreating the heritage, professionalism, and operational atmosphere of the 95th Fighter Squadron, drawing inspiration from its World War II combat lineage, decades of fighter aviation at Tyndall, and its role in F-35A Airpower.
