𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 Commonly referred to as the Black Brunswickers, this was a military unit in the Napoleonic Wars, which was formed by the Duke of Brunswick to fight against Napoleon Bonaparte's occupation of his native Germany. Most units of the corps wore black uniforms, leading to the "black" nicknames of the unit, sporting silvered skull badges on their hats.
