Slovenská Armáda ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Slovak Army was founded after the break-up of Czechoslovakia in 1939. The Slovak Army participated in the invasion of Poland and later the Invasion of the Soviet Union. The army had 8 divisions and used during the war mainly Czechoslovak equipment. After National Slovak Uprising in 1944 many brigades turned with weapons against German armies.
