Description
The Legislature is the second branch of Government. As per Article IV of the State Constitution, it is comprised of two legislative bodies: the Assembly [Lower] and Senate [Upper] Houses. The two Houses create, amend and abolish laws; the Assembly is the main law-creating body, while the Senate confirms the State Cabinet and Judiciary appointments. They also dispense the decision-making role in Articles of Impeachment.
