Description
𝗛𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲, 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 c. 1982 Fulda is a district in the north-east of Hesse and also the name of a city being its administrative seat. Due to its location at the Hesse-Thuringian border and the local terrain, the area was seen as strategically important during the Cold War of 1947-1991, leading to extensive military presence of both Warsaw pact and NATO. Lahrbach is a fictional town situated in the Rhön Mountains, 27 km northeast of Fulda.
