Description
• Československé letectvo bylo součástí československé armády od 1. listopadu 1918, kdy Josef Scheiner vydal rozkaz ke vzniku Leteckého sboru. U jeho zrodu stáli jak letci bojující za první světové války v rakousko-uherském letectvu, tak příslušníci československých legií. Rakousko-uherskou, německou a francouzskou techniku u letectva postupně nahradily domácí konstrukce hlavních dodavatelů Aero, Avia a Letov, které byly také vyváženy do zahraničí. • Mnichovská dohoda a následná okupace Čech a Moravy znamenaly dočasný zánik letectva na území Československa, s výjimkou Vzdušných zbraní Slovenského státu.
