Description
The Arkansas Provisional Government was founded by members of a military expedition led by Brigadier General Nathaniel Johnson alongside deserters from the Arkansas National Guard. Upon their arrival they soldiers quickly learned of the dictatorial and authoritarian reign of the state's Governor "Iron" Bill Clinton who often ignored the basic rights of the people of Arkansas and turned a blind eye to misconduct from the Arkansas National Guard. Tensions quickly rose between the governor and the expedition over this which eventually culminated in a skirmish between federal and state troops. The expedition broke away from the state government following this and formed the Arkansas Provisional Government and denouncing the governor as an illegitimate despot. The Arkansas Provisional Government has allied itself with the most reasonable of the local militias in opposition to the governor alongside what little remains of the various police forces in Arkansas.
