Description
The Royal Navy is the United Kingdom's official naval warfare force and a component of His Majesty's Naval Service. Its duties are to prevent conflict on a regional and global level, to provide security at sea, to maintain international partnerships (including that of NATO), to protect the economic prosperity at sea and to provide humanitarian aid across seas. It is one of the three branches of the British Armed Forces, alongside the British Army and the Royal Air Force.
