Jung-Anhalt Cavalry Regiment #9549645
Description
In March 1620 Leonhard Colonna von Fels raised a Regiment of Horse in Upper Austria and Bohemia, and the ###### Kinsky Regiment of Horse was raised in Bohemia around the same time. Their regiments were reduced into one and and young Christian of Anhalt became its colonel, although his regiment is said to have mustered 700 to 1000 men and commanded by lieutenant colonel Poblitz. An Imperial colonel's biography notes Frenchmen under the young count. The regiment consisted of troopers from Upper Austria and Bohemia from Fels and Kinsky, Frenchmen, and other troopers most likely Hessians.
