Description
Raised in province of Warsaw and Plock in 1807, the 4. Pulk first saw service in the 1807 campaign in skirmishes at Parsk and Popov. In 1808 it formed part of the Polish Division sent to Spain and in 1809 it took part in the Battles of Talavera, Almonacid and Ocaña. October 1810, British troops landed near the garrison the 4. Pulk were at and with shear will and determination they drove a superior force out. Napoleon decorated the men and officers of the 4. Pulk.
