Description
The Special Purpose Unit “Grom” (Отряд специального назначения «Гром»), abbreviated as OSN “Grom”, is an elite tactical unit under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of the Russian Federation. It was established to combat organized crime, and other high-risk criminal activities. The unit functions similarly to special forces, with capabilities extending from tactical assault to intelligence and undercover operations.
