Regiment disbanded. Join the King's German Legion. 𝟖𝟕𝐓𝐇 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓 "𝙄𝘾𝙃 𝘿𝙄𝙀𝙉!" Raised in the name of the future George IV in 1793, the 87th Regiment of Foot had a long history of able performance, serving on campaign in Vlaanderen against the French Republic, the Caribbean between 1796 and 1804, in South America in 1807, and in the Peninsula between 1809 and 1814. It captured a French Imperial Eagle at Barrosa and Marshal Jourdan's baton at Vitoria in 1813. Now on campaign against the French in the Army of the Peninsula, the proud Irishmen of the 87th stand to prove to the French usurper the might of the warriors of the Emerald Isle.
