Description
La Gendarmería Nacional Argentina [GNA] es una fuerza de seguridad de naturaleza militar creada para ejercer la vigilancia y protección de las fronteras nacionales, así como colaborar en la defensa y seguridad del territorio argentino. Durante las décadas de 1930 a 1950, se encontraba integrada y subordinada al Ejército Argentino, formando parte de su estructura y cumpliendo funciones de vigilancia fronteriza, seguridad territorial y apoyo a las operaciones militares. Su misión comprendía el control de las zonas fronterizas, la prevención de actividades ilícitas y la protección de los intereses nacionales en áreas de importancia estratégica.
