Description
The Kagnew Battalion was activated for 1951-65, and saw service in Korea. They were attached to the 7th US Infantry Battalion. About 6,000 combined served in the 1st Kagnew (1951), 2nd Kagnew (1952), and 3rd Kagnew (1953). The Kagnew Battalion were Ethiopians sent to fight in Korea, and sent by Haile Selassie I.
