𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆'𝐒 𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐍 "𝙏𝘼𝙋𝙁𝙀𝙍 𝙐𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙍𝙀𝙐!" Formed in 1803 of Hanoverian exiles that migrated as a result of Congress of Vienna and subsequent dissolution of their native electorate, the King's German Legion is a formidable force of German soldiers whose discipline and tenacity were noted by friend and foe alike. Though never having fought autonomously, the Legion played a pivotal role in the Walcheren Campaign, the Peninsular War, and the Hundred Days. The Legion's reputation of strong discipline and even better fighting capabilities resulted in their officers, who initially only held temporary commissions in the British Army, having their ranks made permanent for 'having so frequently distinguished themselves against the enemy.'
