The Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) is a private military force owned by the Umbrella Corporation, specializing in rescue operations during biohazard outbreaks. The U.B.C.S. primarily recruits former soldiers and militiamen who had been incarcerated and, thus, could be offered a new life. The Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service was founded by former Soviet Colonel Sergei Vladimir.
