Description
In 2003, the SM-1A virus crippled the United States, bringing the Postal Service to a halt. While mail deliveries ended, Postal Inspectors remained on duty. Trained as federal law enforcement officers, they secured post offices, processing centers, and government mail containing medical supplies, legal records, and emergency communications. Using their armored vehicles, investigative equipment, and knowledge of transportation routes, they established protected courier lines across Oregon, delivering critical supplies where they could. Rather than wage war, Inspectors focused on escorting convoys, recovering stolen federal property, and keeping isolated communities connected. They became the backbone of the surviving federal logistics network. The mail had stopped but the mission to protect and deliver never did.
