Description
SLA (Slavic Liberation Army) is a military formation created from representatives of Slavic peoples during the German occupation. Initially, the SLA was formed from prisoners of war, deserters, and volunteers of Slavic origin. As the occupation expanded, other Slavic peoples under German control began to join the army. The SLA operated under its patronage and was used in military and security operations, remaining, at the same time, a deeply controversial symbol of collaboration and division among the Slavs.
