Description
Highland regiments in WWI, known for their tenacity, included the Seaforth, Cameron, Gordon, Black Watch, and Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, largely serving within the 51st (Highland) Division. They fought prominently on the Western Front and in Mesopotamia, often utilizing traditional uniforms like kilts and Glengarries early on, earning the nickname "Ladies from Hell".
