Army of Republika Srpska Војска Републике Српске Вооружённые силы Республики Сербской ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The brigade was formed as a unit of mixed composition and consisted of eight companies and a maneuver battalion that was able to engage in active combat operations outside the territory of the municipality of Srbac. From October 1, 1992, the brigade had a battalion composition, and consisted of two infantry and one rear battalion. The Third Infantry Battalion was formed on March 18, 1993. In order to secure the border along the Sava River, on May 17, 1994, the 4th Infantry or Workers' Battalion was formed. The original tasks of the brigade were to prevent the crossing of Croatian units across the Sava River, and in the event of crossing, to organize the defense and expel the enemy from the zone of responsibility. During the Defense and Patriotic War, a total of 3,338 fighters passed through the brigade, 47 fighters lost their lives, while 8 of them are still listed as missing.
