The Oconian Naval Service Education & Training The Oconian Naval Service Education & Training is the ONS primary command responsible for the training and professional development of Navy personnel. Oversees a wide network of training centers, learning sites, and schools that prepare Sailors with the skills and knowledge necessary to support the Fleet and execute the Navy's global missions. ONS E&T mission is to recruit, train, and deliver combat-ready warfighters to the Fleet. This includes everything from initial entry training (Boot Camp) to advanced technical and leadership instruction throughout a Sailor’s career. Key responsibilities include: Recruit Training Command (RTC): Conducts basic training (Boot Camp) for all enlisted personnel. Naval Service Training Command (NSTC): Manages officer accessions programs, including ROTC and Officer Candidate School. Learning Centers: Provide specialized technical and proper training.
