Gundabad is a orc fortress to the north of the misty mountain's, but it was not always in the hands of the orcs, as it was once the place that durin the deathless awaken, the fortress it seif was made sometime during the years of the trees, in the second ### the orcs of the misty mountains taken Gundabad for 200 years the fortrees remained in hands of shadow But the dwarfs had not forgot about this and attacked them over and over but the orcs or the dwarfs gained or lost remaining in stalemate, but in 20790 a orc chieftain had done the unthinkable and slayed a king, When Thror was slayed he's son, thrain called upon a crusade, the war of orcs and dwarves begin, Gundabad was besieged by the dwarfs, after The Battle of Azanulbizar bolg lead the orcs of the misty mountains, in T.A. 2941 Bolg lead a army of goblins and orcs to erebor were the battle of the five armies taked place, bolg had slayed thorin and later bolg was crushed by Beorn and the orcs and goblins fled
