The Empire of Japan was founded on January 3rd 1868 during the Meiij Restoration and existed until the enactment of the post-World War II 1947 constitution and subsequent formation of modern Japan. It encompassed the Japanese archipelago and several colonies, protectorates, mandates, and other territories. During the peak period of Empire of Japan, it owned territories in Taiwan, Korea, Manchuria, and parts of northern China. Comming soon TM
