Description
𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 挺進集団 — Imperial Japanese Army Air Force As Japan’s primary airborne unit, the Teishin Shudan was created to conduct rapid assault and sabotage missions behind enemy lines. First deployed in China and later in the Philippines, the group carried out several airborne operations during the latter part of the war. Despite limited resources and mixed success, it represented Japan’s attempt to develop a strategic airborne capability.
