3 Jydske Infanteriregiment - 3 Jutland Infantry Regiment History- Founded in 1747, 3 Jydske is a standard line infantry regiment conscripted mainly from Northern Jutland. During the Napoleonic Wars, Denmark formed the Danish Auxiliary Corps to assist Napoleon in his invasion of Russia in 1813. At the end of August, a detachment of the regiment led by Captain C.F. Kirchheiner was added to Avant-garde. The regiment saw action during the corps retreat back to Denmark and notably at the Battle of Sehested. Regiment Type: - Line Infantry
