The Ground Forces of the Russian Federation (Russian: Сухопутные войска Российской Федерации, tr. Sukhoputnye Voyska Rossiyskoy Federatsii, SVR) are the land forces of the Russian Armed Forces. It is also simply referred to as the Russian Army (Russian: Русская армия, tr. Russkaya armiya).
