Vault-Tec Engineering Core The Vault-Tec Engineering Core is responsible for the design, construction, and continuous operation of all Vault infrastructure. Tasked with ensuring long-term survivability, Engineering Core personnel maintain the systems that keep the Vault alive—power, water, air filtration, structural integrity, and automation. Highly trained in mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering, the Engineering Core oversees reactor maintenance, life-support systems, Vault door mechanisms, and emergency repairs under extreme conditions. When systems fail, engineers respond first—often working in hazardous environments to prevent catastrophic collapse. Using cutting-edge pre-war technology and strict operational protocols, the Engineering Core ensures that every Vault functions exactly as designed, no matter the circumstances above ground.
